Newsdependant report that The Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa, Alayeluwa Oba Dr. Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, Ajagbusi Ekun VI, has felicitated with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Nigerians on the occasion of the 2023 Democracy day celebration.
Oba Akeem said despite various security challenges confronting the country, democracy remains the only option available to Nigerians to weather the storm and build a prosperous nation.

Owaloko Identified sincerity of purpose, peaceful co-existence and rapid socio-economic development of all sectors as critical elements in deepening democracy and rule of of law.
He said democracy as a system of government does not thrive on an empty stomach, hence all leaders must collectively work hard to reduce poverty and promote the quality of life of all Nigerians.
According to him, Nigerians have shown great faith in democracy and its institutions, as such no challenge should be allowed to dampen their enthusiasm and desire for the progress of the people
He called on all Nigerians to continue support the administration of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in its quest in finding lasting solutions to the security challenges bedeviling the country.
As we celebrate the maiden June 12th Democracy Day, may our resolve and pledge to serve, unite and uphold the honour and glory of our country be our priority always.
Let us all commit prayer and patriotic work at seeing the labour of our heroes never ebbs in vain.
I urge all citizens to contribute to the sustainance of democracy in Nigeria and make our country great that we all may be proud of.
