Newsdependant report that A chieftain of All Progressive Congress in Nigeria, Hon. Seun Odofin has felicitated all Nigerian men on the occasion of the 2023 World Father’s Day.
In his message on Sunday, the 2023 House of Representatives candidate of All Progressive Congress in Ijesa North Federal Constituency wished all biological fathers, foster fathers and fathers-to-be a happy Father’s Day.
The Founder and Chairman of Odofin OASIS Foundation said the day celebrates fatherhood and male parenting. Noting that fathers occupy a critical position in the family as their actions and inactions affect the society.
According to him “Fathers are the first line examples of what will becomes of any society. We play a critical role in leaving a legacy through our actions and inactions.
Because of the critical roles we play as the head of the family, our actions and inactions shapen our family and determine the legacy that’s obtainable in the society. Either good or bad, we give the direction.
If our actions are good, definitely we are raising a generation of young ones with good actions and if our actions are otherwise, we should expect same generation.
As a nation, the President is the father of all, the Governors are in charge of the states and Local Government chairmen lead at the local councils. Our traditional rulers as our fathers are leading in their respective capacity and domain the same way our clergymen are leading in religious circle and worship centres.
So, I congratulate every biological father, foster father and father-to-be on this very important anniversary and charge us to be a reference point of responsible father in the society,” he said.
