Newsdependant report that As Muslims believers all over the world celebrate Eid-El-Kabir, the Festival of Sacrifice, Alayeluwa Oba Dr. Akeem Olusayo King Ogungbangbe, Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa has enjoined Nigerians, especially Muslim faithful, to embrace peace and tolerance among themselves.
Owaloko who made the remark on Wednesday in a congratulatory message made available to Journalists in Iloko-Ijesa emphasized the need to live in peaceful coexistence, love and religious tolerance.
Oba Akeem rejoiced with Muslims on the celebration, pointing out that the Festival is worth celebrating in view of the fact that only the living celebrate.
While expressing his felicitation to Islamic leaders and Muslim Faithfuls in Iloko-Ijesa, Owaloko enjoined Followers of the faith to celebrate with modesty and allow the lessons of love, obedience and sacrifice that Eid-El-Kabir portray reflect in their daily lives.
Owaloko described Eid-El-Kabir as one of the most remarkable events on the Islamic calendar which comes usually with peace and excitement that is refreshing in a unique way.
He said this year’s occasion is particularly exciting because it is an opportunity to thank Allah (SWT) for His mercies and to pray for protection against the current unabating spate of insecurity in our dear country.
The Alayeluwa Oba Akeem Ogungbangbe enjoined the people of Iloko-Ijesa and the State in general to be law abiding and pray for God’s intervention over the security challenges being faced in the county,” the statement said.
