“During this auspicious time, let us reflect upon the timeless lessons of sacrifice and submissions that Eid al-Adha teaches us. Just as Ibrahim (AS) willingly offered to sacrifice his beloved son, Ismail (AS), out of his unyielding devotion to Allah, we are reminded of the importance of surrendering our desires and placing our trust in the divine wisdom of Allah.”

He further said, “the festival is a time of unity, compassion, and sharing. It is an opportunity for us to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood within our communities. Let us remember the less fortunate and extend a helping hand to those in need, following the noble example set by the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). By sharing our blessings with others, we can bring joy and happiness to those who are less privileged.

“As we gather with family and friends to celebrate this joyous occasion, let us also remember those who are unable to be with their loved ones due to various circumstances. Our thoughts and prayers reach out to them, and may Allah grant them comfort and solace during these challenging times”.

Finally, he encourages all Muslims to use this occasion to renew their commitment to their faith and seek closeness to Allah.

“Let us engage in sincere acts of worship, engage in acts of kindness, and strive for personal and spiritual growth.

“Once again, I wish you and your families a blessed Eid al-Adha filled with joy, peace, and abundant blessings. May this auspicious occasion bring us closer to Allah and strengthen the bonds of love and unity within the Muslim Ummah and the wider global community” Mr. Alabi concluded.
