Newsdependant Eld-El-Kabir: Embrace Religious Tolerance, Peaceful Co-Existence, Ogungbangbe Urges Muslim Believers that The People Democratic Party (PDP) Oriade Local Government Former Party Chairman, Hon. Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe has felicitated with Muslims in his federal constituency on the 2023 Eid-El-Kabir celebrations.
Hon. Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe in a media publication made available to journalists in Iloko-Ijesa today congratulated the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir which he said calls for celebration and prayer for the country and Oriade/Obokun Federal constituency in particular.
The statement called on all constituents of Oriade/Obokun federal constituency, at home and in the diaspora, to use the period of this year’s Eid- celebration to embrace the virtues of love, humility, peace and sacrifice as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.
Hon. Bayo urged his constituents to be security conscious, before, during and after the sallah celebration and called on security agencies to ensure adequate protection of lives and property, especially in susceptible flashpoints of criminality within the constituency.
“While we prepare for celebration, the tendency for enemies of the constituency to unleash terror cannot be over-ruled. Security agents should up their games and beam their search light on flashpoints of criminality and ensure that the constituents celebrate without fear of intimidation.”
He urged religious leaders and particularly, parents to call their members, children to order from engaging in crimes.
The statement also called on Muslims to share whatever resource they have with their fellow brothers and sisters regardless of religion, adding that love and sacrifice remain the ultimate of the great prophet of God and pillars in Islam
“While rejoicing with the Muslim brothers and sisters, on this auspicious occasion of Eid-El-Kabir Sallah celebration, which symbolizes sacrifice and obedience, we have the obligation of praying for our state and urged citizens of the state, especially civil servants, not to relent in their prayers for His Execellency Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to succeed as governor Ogungbangbe added.”
