Newsdependant report that As part of the effort of South-West Agenda (SWAGA ‘23), the leading support group for the presidential campaign of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the leadership of Hon. Mrs Ayo Omidiran to caution the effect of fuel subsidy removal on the residents of the state, the local government coordinator, Honourable Mrs Oyetunde Bunmi Bola has distributed about 100 bags of rice in 10kg sized bags to vulnerable members of her local government LCDA as made available to him by the state executives.
The distribution exercise which kicked off on Saturday, were distributed majorly to the Vulnerable from each of the polling units across the 5-wards in the LCDA, which are present in the Local Government.
Speaking during the flag-off of the distribution exercise, Honourable Mrs Oyetunde Bunmi Bola expressed her appreciation to the National Coordinator of SWAGA, Hon. Mrs Ayo Omidiran for making available the food items to the people of her local government at the time when it’s most needed due to rising prices of food in the market as a result of hike in fuel price due to subsidy removal.
She therefore, appealed to the residents of the local government, who may not have benefitted from the limited number of food items being distributed now to exercise patience while the SWAGA State Food Palliative Committee works out modalities to distribute a more far reaching palliative measure for all citizens of the state.
She assured all residents of Oriade local government that Hon. Mrs Ayo Omidiran being a caring and compassionate leader, she will not leave any segment of the society uncared for.
